In a world full of negative voices and the message that we never have enough, practicing gratitude helps us find peace and contentment in the moment.
As we walk through the middle of Psalm 23, the writer (David) takes a sharp turn from grassy meadows of peace, to a dark valley of death replete with enemies. Yet in this valley we find one another very important person – God. His presence, his blessing, and his favor somehow are there with us in the darkest of times.
The first verse of Psalm 23 is an amazing promise of God’s care, love, and protection in our lives. It is a beautiful picture of our powerful, and yet personal, loving God.
